Not My Problem
Last Monday, I officially, ( and finally) quit my job with the doctor. It wasn't a pretty ending...with his trash talking me and thinking that I wouldn't hear about it. Oh the pettyness. I did hear what he said and it made me glad to turn in my key and hand back the 3 tapes of untyped letter that I didn't have time to do.
I quit full time for him last year. Since then, I have worked between 20 to 50 hours a month for him, in the evenings and weekends attempting to keep his office running smoothly. And that doesn't include the hour long phone calls so he could bitch. One month, I logged 65 hours. No wonder I didn't have a social life and was slightly more than stressed! I trained 9 new girls in the 10 months since I quit and have done more background office stuff then he realized. I am sure he is realizing it now as his office is a disaster. I laugh.
He told his new girl (who actually worked for him 2 years ago but they didn't get along...so she quit!) to not tell me what he said because he might need me to help out and train some new staff.
Not gonna happen!
Well, today he emailed me asking how to do Alberta Health Care submissions. You see, I did all his billing and submissions and reconciliations for the past 4 years. He has no idea what to do...so now that he has to figure it out, he emailed me.
My response:
Dear Dr......
I suggest you contact the help desk for further assistance. They will be able to walk you through the steps.
Sincerely,
I couldn't help but smile as I hit send.
Good Riddence.

Good Job Crystal,
That is a stress off of you that you didn't need, and now you have a social life that I guess I will have to try and fill.
Good for you! It's makes me happy that you finally got to tell that man off so to speak. Congrats!
Congratulations.
Was it difficult to hold back all that you'd like to have said to him in that email?
I'm late in reading this I know but I'm very glad for you too. Some things are just not worth the stress. Good email response, did you put a little smiley face?
