They Spanked Our Ass

I will admit that I'm only a hockey fan only during playoffs. I love the excitment of the fans although I'm a nervous wreck when it gets too close of a game. I can't watch overtime. My stomach gets all twisty and I get nervous and flick the channel repeatedly. Anyways, I gladly jumped on the Flames bandwagon 2 years ago in our run for the cup. I went to the Red Mile a few times (but kept ALL my clothes on!), drove MacLeod Trail in bumper to bumper excitement, and did my fair share of honking when we made it into the final round. I jumped on the wagon again this year. I'm glad that my bandwagon isn't very far off the ground or falling off it might have hurt a bit more after our brutal defeat in game 7. Now I'm no expert on scoring (hehe) but I do know that in order to get a goal, there actually needs to be an attempt to put the puck in the net. It's not brain surgery. Three shots on goal in a whole period! That's crazy.

I completely agree. It was pitiful. What's even worse than losing is being shut out!! C'mon boys, that's not cool. Maybe they forgot it was Game 7. I even went down to the mile to watch the game. I dreamed about them and they lost there too! Except this time they were playing in the Calgary Tower (apparently that's where the rink was) and we lost 4-0. We didn't even finish the game but at the beginning of the third period the Flames just said "You Win".
They kind of did that last night anyway, but made us sit and watch!

I refuse to cheer for Edmonton. Just because they are Albertan doesn't mean I have to like them! They just couldn't seem to get their sticks out of their asses and actually connect a pass...or get out of their own zone. Poor Kipper.

At least you can probably get some sleep now. No more red mile... :(

Yeah too bad about the flames...that was a pretty poor effort in game 7 though. Now I'm just hoping for a Sens -Oilers final (Go Canadian teams!!). Crystal are you sure you weren't one of those crazy girls with her shirt over her head on the Red Mile in 2004? I could have swore I saw you on www.flamesgirls.com. Ha ha just jokes

I've been found out! I figured that if I pulled my shirt up high enough, no one would recognize me...alas, that appears to not have been the case...
